FIRED CLAY BRICKS
HANDCRAFTED
Description
Mud bricks made manually using the same technique from the Middle Ages to the present day. The process begins with traditional hand moulding techniques and procedures, pending its natural drying, and subsequent transfer to the Arab ovens where the baking is done. Because of the raw materials used for this process (wood and olive oil waste) the oven reaches high temperatures, approximately 1000 degrees Celsius; the pieces are placed into baking cages, the pieces take on a red hue with salmon undertones, characteristic of the (non-industrial) natural clay which gives it a rustic finish. This traditional clay makes a distinguished material used by many to add character wherever it is placed. It is not only durable and high quality, but also beautiful and suitable for any space. These bricks are also durable and resistant, the best option to achieve a rustic decor, giving a traditional touch.
